For Scientists and Developers interested in Ptychography Software

Trieste, Italy, 9-13 September

We are happy to announce our next PtyPy workshop aimed at anybody interested in ptychographic reconstruction software. We have put together a comprehensive program of in-depth lectures, hands-on tutorials and code-hacking sessions making this workshop accessible to scientists and software developers at all levels – from beginners to experienced PtyPy users.

Hybrid Format

The workshop can be attended both in-person and remotely. All morning sessions (lectures, tutorials, discussions) will be broadcast via Zoom. The afternoon hackathon sessions are only for in-person participants.

Main Topics

This workshop will feature 3 main topics: Best Practices for Algorithm Development, Recent Advances in Electron Ptychography and How to Deal with Extreme Data Rates and Volumes. There will be dedicated lectures and hands-on tutorial session on all 3 topics.

Ligthning Talks

Both in-person and remote participants are invitied to apply for a short contributed talk. Priority will be given to contributions that are closely related to the topics of this workshop.

Hackathon

For in-person participants, there will be a PtyPy code and reconstruction hackathon in the aftenoon of the workshop. We will provide cloud computing resources, but participants are expected to bring along their own laptops.
